PPLSI has literally changed my life! Though I had some previous experience as an insurance agent when I signed on with PPLSI, I was using my time volunteering for a non-profit and teaching piano. I had been out of the insurance industry for about seven years and had never done employee benefits.

PPLSI came my way at the perfect time. I had been considering what I would do if something happened to Bob and I lost his income. Crunching numbers made it glaringly obvious that volunteer work and a piano teacher’s income would NOT pay the bills! I had options — earn more money or buy a whole lot more life insurance. Given those options, I decided to give PPLSI a go. To my absolute delight, I found a niche in the employee benefits arena. With hard work and focus, I started consistently earning the amount needed for the mortgage each month. I cut back my studio hours for the 2016-2017 school year, and in May 2017, I closed my studios to focus on PPLSI.

Emboldened by our success, we decided to start the home renovation we had been dreaming about for 13 years. To make the project even more interesting, we decided to take a leap of faith and fund the entire project with PPLSI money we had not yet earned. I worked feverishly in May, June and July to keep up with the payments. The builder was paid in full in August 2017, and shortly thereafter, I got the call that we were the newest $50,000 Ring Earners. Living in our newly renovated house made us believe that anything was possible!

Bob had his degrees and professional income, but for the first time in my life, I was offering a professional service and earning a professional income. Eight months after earning the $50,000 Ring, we paid off our house and earned our $100,000 Ring. I have renewed my insurance licenses, so I can handle all of my clients’ needs and help other benefits brokers understand the advantages of bringing LegalShield and IDShield to their employee groups.

In five years, I have traveled more, earned more and gained more confidence than I ever thought possible. I have learned that being a woman is not an excuse for mediocrity or a hindrance to success. Life is what you make it. We now have three granddaughters and a fourth on the way. As our family continues to grow, we want to set the example and show what can be accomplished with a great work ethic and a powerful service. PPLSI is doing more than changing our bank balance. PPLSI is enriching our lives and the lives of those around us.
